The all-new Custom Shop 000-18 1937 offers players the sonic qualities of the Authentic Series, combined with the everyday value of a reliable workhorse guitar. Martin's highly prized 1937 models have long been regarded as the cornerstone of performance and sound, setting a standard for generations of instruments to follow. This guitar boasts a clear vintage gloss Adirondack spruce top, genuine mahogany back and sides, scalloped bracing, hide glue, cloth strip construction, and an adjustable truss rod, all contributing to capturing the look, feel, and sound of some of the finest guitars ever made.
Additionally, the Custom Shop 000-18 1937 is available with light aging in either natural or ambertone finishes. Stage 1 aging replicates the light checking found on rare guitars that were carefully stored in cases for decades, rather than showing the heavy wear and tear of a well-used instrument. This aging process gives the guitar the appearance of age without the typical heavy wear seen on newly aged guitars.
