The Fender Custom Shop 1963 P Bass NOS revives one of the most enduring and influential bass designs of all time. Finished in Olympic White nitrocellulose lacquer, this left-handed instrument captures the timeless look and feel of an early-’60s Precision Bass.
Its 2-piece select alder body delivers balanced resonance, while the quartersawn maple neck, carved to a comfortable 1960 Oval “C” profile, provides exceptional stability and a smooth playing feel. The AAA rosewood fingerboard features a 7.25" radius, vintage clay dot inlays, and 20 medium jumbo frets for authentic playability with a touch of modern comfort.
Tone comes from a Custom Shop hand-wound ’62 P-Bass split single-coil pickup, delivering the warm, punchy low end that defined countless recordings. Paired with vintage-style volume and tone controls, this bass offers the unmistakable thump and articulation of the golden era.
Vintage-style hardware includes a P/J bridge, 4-ply light tortoiseshell pickguard (left-handed), chrome/nickel appointments, and a V-Logo neck plate. An additional strap button is installed at the back of the headstock, a detail that enhances playability options.
