Taylor's American Dream Series continues to embody these principles of innovation to create U.S.-made, solid-wood instruments that deliver premium musical performance at an affordable price.

Body Shape
Compared to the Taylor Grand Auditorium, the Grand Symphony has a bigger, rounder lower bout and slightly wider "waist" area, and the bigger soundboard means more tonal output. Expect a meaty lower midrange and strong treble shimmer. A Grand Symphony is best if you want a guitar with a robust low end, strong volume when strumming or flatpicking, and clear articulation in response to light fingerpicking attack.

Tonewood Pairing
Mahogany has a strong fundamental without a lot of ringing overtones. It adds a natural compression with a "roll-in" effect to each note that tends to even out a lively attack for a more linear response. Combined with the sapele body, this tonewood combination produces a nice, earthy tone with direct focus and clarity.

Electronics
A the heart of the Expression System 2 electronics is Taylor’s patented behind-the-saddle pickup, which features three uniquely positioned and individually calibrated pickup sensors. Because the pickup doesn't sit under the saddle, the bottom of the saddle comes in full contact with the bridge, allowing all the nuance of the guitar's tone to come through clearly whether playing acoustically or plugged in. The location of the sensors enables a more dynamic range of acoustic sound to be captured than ever before while playing plugged in. Together with Taylor’s custom-designed “professional audio”-grade preamp, this system produces exceptional amplified tone and responsiveness. Onstage through a PA, plugged into your favorite acoustic amplifier, or direct into recording software, the Expression System 2 faithfully conveys the voice of your Taylor guitar. The Taylor Expression System 2 operates through a proprietary 9-volt battery compartment and easy-to-use volume, and active bass and treble controls.

Features:

Solid neo-tropical mahogany top, solid sapele back and sides

Neo-tropical mahogany neck, smoked Eucalyptus fingerboard and bridge

Taylor nickel tuning machines with nickel buttons

Taylor Expression System 2 Professional Audio-Grade electronics

Specifications:

Body
Body type: Grand Symphony, Non-Cutaway
Top wood: Solid Neo-Tropical Mahogany
Back and sides: Solid Sapele
Bracing pattern: Baritone Bracing with Relief Rout
Body finish: Matte

Neck
Neck shape: Standard Carve
Nut width: 1-3/4" (44.5mm)
Fingerboard: Smoked Eucalyptus
Neck wood: Neo-Tropical Mahogany
Scale length: 27" Baritone Scale
Number of frets: 19
Neck finish: Matte

Bridge: Smoked Eucalyptus
Saddle and nut: Micarta "Wave" Saddle; TUSQ Nut Black

Electronics
Pickup/preamp: Behind-the-Saddle Transducer with Adjustable Sensors
EQ/Tuner: Volume, Active Bass and Treble/None

Other
Tuning machines: Taylor Nickel with Nickel Buttons
Orientation: Right-Handed
Number of strings: 6-string
Case: Taylor AeroCase Included
Country of origin: United States

https://musiquediplomate.com/products/taylor-guitars-ad26e-baritone-6-special-edition-shaded-edge-burst
