Making its debut in 1962, the Jaguar® introduced a 24” scale length along with a distinctive offset body design, offering various switching and tonal options. It was anticipated to surpass the Stratocaster® as Fender’s premier model. This '66 Jaguar model showcases a two-piece select alder body featuring a Deluxe Closet Classic finish, imparting a refined appearance with a hint of aging, akin to a well-preserved guitar over the years.
The quartersawn maple neck embodies a '66 “Jaguar C” profile, complemented by a 9.5”-radius round-lam rosewood fingerboard and 22 medium jumbo (6150) frets, facilitating effortless playability across the neck.
Equipped with shielded ’62 Jaguar pickups, this guitar not only cancels extra hum but also delivers vibrant and intricate tones, characteristic of vintage Jaguar rhythm and lead circuitry. It sports a four-ply brown shell pickguard, a vintage-style bridge featuring a “floating” tremolo tailpiece, Schaller® “F” tuning machines, a bone nut, and a wing string tree accompanied by a tall metal spacer. Additionally, it comes complete with a deluxe hardshell case, a strap, and a certificate of authenticity.
